DAY 1 – PETER: FAITH THAT GETS BACK UP

DAY 1 – PETER: FAITH THAT GETS BACK UP

Scripture: “When you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” – Luke 22:32 (NLT)

Devotional:

Peter had big faith and big failures. He walked on water—then sank. He swore loyalty—then denied Jesus. But here’s the tension: Jesus knew he would fall… and still called him.

Failure didn’t surprise Jesus. It refined

God isn’t shocked by your struggle—He already factored it into your calling.

Peter’s lowest moment became the birthplace of his greatest strength. The man who denied Jesus would preach boldly at Pentecost. Grace doesn’t erase your past—it transforms it.

Falling isn’t fatal when you’re following Jesus.

Takeaway: Falling doesn’t disqualify you—staying down does.

Think About:

• Where have I felt disqualified by failure?

• What would “getting back up” look like this week?

Pray: Jesus, thank You for restoring what I thought disqualified me. Help me rise in grace and walk in calling.

Matthew 14:22–33 (NLT)
