Rust City Church’s Annual Thanksgiving Outreach

Every Wednesday in the parking lot of Eastwood Mall, we give away food and diapers at our Midweek Outreach. On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, we kick it up a notch and give away turkeys and grocery bags filled with things for a Thanksgiving meal.

We are committed to offering hope and meeting practical needs to those in our local community. Anyone can come to receive food (first come, first serve) as well as prayer. Cars will line up in the parking lot and drive through the distribution line starting at 6PM.

It takes a lot to make this outreach happen! So, before you kick back to celebrate your Thanksgiving with family, food, and football, would you give back to help someone else have a memorable holiday?

GIVE BACK

Get a brown bag and shopping list from Rust City, fill the bag with all the items from the list.
These items will provide a family with elements for a Thanksgiving meal, without anything else needed. One bag will benefit one family! As you’re planning for your dinner, pick up some extra groceries to bless someone else.

It takes a ton of volunteers to make this event happen–from setting up food stations, going car to car to offer prayer, passing out hot cocoa, and more.
Sign up to serve with us on Wednesday, November 27 from 4:30–8PM.
Volunteers arrive from 4:30-5PM to check in and receive their assignments.
Kids over age 7 are allowed to serve with a parent/guardian. Childcare will be available for ages 10 and under, with a special serve activity for kids to do! If you’d be willing to serve by watching kids, please let us know!

Do you need food this Thanksgiving?

Come to Rust City Church on Wednesday, November 27 and line up your car in our parking lot. Anyone is welcome!

Cars will start lining up around 3PM, but distribution will begin promptly at 6PM and end around 7PM, once all cars have driven through our line.

In addition to our normal weekly food giveaway, we’ll be giving out bags of Thanksgiving groceries and a limited number of Turkeys on a first come, first serve basis.
