Day 8: 21 days of prayer and fasting

DAY 8: The God Who Sees You

Scripture: "Thereafter, Hagar used another name to refer to the Lord, who had spoken to her. She said, “You are the God who sees me.” She also said, “Have I truly seen the One who sees me?'" – Genesis 16:13 (NLT)

The Raw Truth: Hagar was alone, used, and fleeing into the desert. At her absolute lowest, God showed up. He didn't just help her; He saw her. And in being seen by Him, she saw Him. Your wilderness, your place of feeling overlooked, discarded, or exhausted, is prime territory for this revelation. You are not invisible. Your pain is not ignored. Your silent struggle is witnessed by the God who sees in the dark. This changes everything. When you know you are seen, you are never alone.

Illustration: A tiny child in a crowded supermarket loses sight of their parent. Panic sets in—the world becomes a scary, giant place. Then, over the heads of the crowd, they hear their name. They look up and lock eyes with their parent, who has never lost sight of them. The fear melts. They are seen. They are safe.

Challenge: In your prayer, picture your current struggle—the thing that makes you feel most alone or invisible. Now, picture God looking directly at you in that exact situation. Hear Him speak your name. Write down what you believe the "God who sees" wants you to know about your circumstance.
