DAY 1 – A HOUSE UNITED

DAY 1 – A HOUSE UNITED

Scripture: “They all met together and were constantly united in prayer.” – Acts 1:14 (NLT)

Devotional: Before the church ever moved in power, it stood in unity. The believers gathered in one place—not because everything was perfect, but because they understood something essential: God moves where hearts are aligned. Unity was not their reward; it was their responsibility.

There’s an old illustration about a bundle of sticks: one stick alone snaps easily, but when tied together, it becomes nearly impossible to break. The early church lived this truth. They weren’t united by sameness, but by surrender. Prayer pulled them together, and togetherness positioned them for God’s move.

Unity is still the soil where God grows His greatest work. What divides us weakens us, but what binds us in love strengthens the whole house.

“Unity is not the absence of differences, but the presence of love.” — Francis Schaeffer

Think About:

  • Where is God inviting me to choose unity instead of independence?

  • Are there relationships I need to approach with humility and grace?

Pray: God, help me value unity the way You do. Teach me to pursue togetherness even when it costs my comfort. Shape my heart to build Your house, not tear it down.
