DAY 2 – A HOUSE WITH POWER

Scripture:

“All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit.” – Acts 2:4 (NLT)

Devotional:

Unity prepared the space, but the Holy Spirit supplied the power. The early church didn’t manufacture momentum—they received it. God’s power came suddenly, but it didn’t come randomly. It came where people were surrendered and expectant.

Think of a lamp: it can be beautifully designed and perfectly placed, but without electricity, it remains dark. The problem isn’t the lamp—it’s the connection. The Holy Spirit is the power source of the church. When He fills us, fear loosens its grip and purpose comes alive.

God doesn’t empower us so we can feel impressive—He empowers us so we can live transformed.

“The Holy Spirit does not empower us to do extraordinary things; He empowers us to do ordinary things with extraordinary faith.” — A.W. Tozer

Think About:

  • Am I relying more on my strength or the Spirit’s power?

  • What area of my life needs God’s power, not my effort?

Pray: Holy Spirit, fill me again. I surrender control and invite Your presence to lead me. I don’t want to live disconnected from Your power.
