DAY 4 – JOHN: IDENTITY SHAPES INTIMACY

DAY 4 – JOHN: IDENTITY SHAPES INTIMACY

Scripture: “The disciple Jesus loved.” – John 13:23 (NLT)

Devotional:

John anchored his identity in love—not performance.

When you know you’re loved, you stop competing.

When you know you’re loved, you stop striving.

You don’t perform for approval—you live from acceptance.

John moved from ambition to affection. Closeness changed him.

Intimacy transforms identity.

Takeaway: You cannot follow from a distance.

Think About:

• Is my identity rooted in love or performance?

• What keeps me distant from Jesus?

Pray: Jesus, root me in Your love.

Dig Deeper:

1 John 3:1 (NLT)

John 15:9–11 (NLT)

Ephesians 3:17–19 (NLT)
