DAY 5 – A WORD THAT STILL SPEAKS
DAY 5 – A WORD THAT STILL SPEAKS
Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16–17 (NLT)
Devotional:
Some say the Bible is outdated. Others say it’s oppressive. Scripture says it’s alive. The Bible isn’t a relic—it’s a mirror, a scalpel, and a map.
God chose to speak through real people in real cultures, but His truth transcends every culture. The Bible doesn’t affirm every system it records—it redeems humanity through Christ. Its trajectory always moves toward freedom, dignity, and restoration.
The Word of God doesn’t bow to culture—it lovingly critiques every culture, including ours. It confronts us not to control us, but to transform us.
We don’t defend Scripture by ignoring hard passages. We honor it by studying deeply and submitting humbly.
Takeaway:
The Bible isn’t a weapon or a relic—it’s God’s living Word.
Think About:
• What part of Scripture challenges me most?
• Am I willing to let God’s Word shape me?

God, give me a heart that submits to Your truth.
