DAY 4 – TRUTH OVER PERSONAL TRUTH

DAY 4 – TRUTH OVER PERSONAL TRUTH

Scripture: Proverbs 3:5–7 (NLT)

Devotional:

Our culture says your truth is final. Scripture says God’s truth is faithful. The problem isn’t that feelings exist—it’s that we’ve crowned them king.

The heart is powerful, but it’s not reliable on its own. Feelings make great indicators, but terrible authorities. When personal truth replaces revealed truth, we stop being disciples and start being self-led.

Freedom doesn’t come from asserting ourselves—it comes from surrendering to Christ. God’s Word doesn’t limit us; it liberates us from ourselves.

We don’t test Scripture by our feelings.

We test our feelings by Scripture.

Takeaway:

Your feelings are real—but they are not sovereign.

Think About:

• Where have I trusted my feelings more than God’s Word?

• What belief might God be inviting me to reexamine?

Pray:

Lord, align my thoughts and desires with Your truth.

Dig Deeper:

• Jeremiah 17:9 (NLT)

• 2 Corinthians 10:5 (NLT)

• John 8:31–32 (NLT)

💡 Live It Out — “Submit the Thought”

Bring one belief or opinion under God’s Word today.

Group Discussion:
