unshakable: Part 4

SPEAKER: Pastor Karl Wendel

Scriptures—

Daniel 10:1-19, Ephesians 6:12, Psalm 3:3

Key Takeaways—

  • Unshakable faith is built by trusting God in the waiting and silence, not just when He moves quickly.

  • God hears our prayers immediately, even if we don't see immediate results.

  • There is often spiritual warfare happening behind the scenes when we pray.

  • God fights for us while we wait and is working even when we can't see it.

  • God gives us strength to stand firm during difficult waiting periods.

Discussion Questions—

  1. How do you personally handle seasons of waiting on God, and what lessons have you learned during those times?

  2. How might viewing waiting periods as opportunities for internal growth change your perspective on difficult seasons?

  3. In what ways might God be working 'behind the scenes' in your life right now, even if you can't see immediate results?

  4. What does it mean to you that God hears our prayers immediately, even if we don't see an immediate answer?

  5. How does the concept of spiritual warfare impact your understanding of prayer and its effectiveness?

  6. In what ways does Daniel's experience of fasting and prayer challenge or inspire your own spiritual practices?

  7. How can we maintain an 'unshakeable faith' during periods of silence or apparent inaction from God?

  8. What role does community play in supporting believers through times of spiritual discouragement or waiting?

Practical application—

Journal Exercise: Write down the question "God, what are you trying to teach me?" in relation to something you're currently waiting for. Spend time reflecting and journaling your thoughts over the next week.

Closing Prayer—

Father, we ask for patience when Your timing doesn’t match ours. Help us to wait well, trusting that You’re working even when we can’t see it. Remind us that silence is not absence and that You are always near. Strengthen our hearts in the waiting, deepen our faith through the unseen, and grow in us a confidence that You are fighting for us. Use our waiting seasons to draw us closer to You and to encourage others who are still holding on. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
