The pastor emphasized renewing our minds. What does that practically look like for you?
Practical application—
This week, keep a journal of recurring negative thoughts. Practice "taking them captive" by writing down a corresponding truth from Scripture.
Choose a trusted friend or group member to be your accountability partner. Share one area where you struggle with blame, and commit to checking in with each other regularly over the summer.
Closing Prayer—
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your grace that meets us right where we are and never gives up on us. Thank You for the gift of growth—for the ways You shape us through both joy and correction. We ask for Your help in owning our missteps with humility and courage. Teach us to take responsibility with hearts open to transformation. Renew our minds by the truth of Your Word. Help us reject old patterns and step boldly into the life You’ve called us to live.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
