Day 1:The Promise in the Garden
Jesus Our Redeemer
Scripture:
“And I will cause hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.” – Genesis 3:15 (NLT)
Devotional:
The story of redemption didn’t start in Bethlehem — it began in the garden. Before there was a manger, there was a mess. Humanity fell, sin fractured creation, and shame entered the human story. Yet right there, in the middle of rebellion, God whispered hope. He promised that one day, the offspring of the woman would crush the serpent’s head — that evil’s reign would end.
That promise was Jesus. He is the Redeemer who steps into the wreckage to rebuild what sin destroyed. He doesn’t wait for your perfection to move toward you; He moves into your brokenness to bring healing. Every time you feel the tension between what is and what should be, remember — redemption has already begun. The serpent may bruise, but Jesus crushes.
Think About:
Where in my life do I see evidence of God still redeeming what was broken?
How does knowing Jesus was promised from the beginning reshape my view of God’s plan for me?
Pray:
Jesus, thank You that before I ever sinned, You already had a plan to save me. Redeem the parts of my story that still feel lost or broken. Help me trust that Your victory was written long before my struggle began.
