Day 3:The Ark of the Covenant

Jesus Our Presence

Scripture:

“Have the people of Israel build me a holy sanctuary so I can live among them.” – Exodus 25:8 (NLT)

Devotional:
The Ark of the Covenant wasn’t just a sacred artifact; it was a symbol of God’s presence dwelling among His people. Inside were the tablets of the law, Aaron’s staff that budded, and manna — reminders of God’s word, power, and provision. But those were only shadows of something greater.

Now, the presence of God has a name — Jesus.
He is the Word made flesh, the Bread of Life, the Resurrection and the Life. You don’t have to chase God’s presence to a temple or wait for a priest to intercede. The presence that once dwelt behind a curtain now lives within you.

When life feels hollow or heavy, remember: you are the new dwelling place of God. You carry His presence into every space you step into.

Think About:

  • How aware am I that the presence of God lives within me daily?

  • What would change if I truly saw myself as a carrier of His presence?

Pray:
Jesus, thank You that You didn’t just come to visit — You came to stay. Fill me with Your presence until it overflows into every room I walk into. Make me a living temple where others can encounter You.

💡 Live It Out — “Carry the Presence”
Be intentional today about bringing God’s presence into one ordinary space — your workplace, a classroom, or a conversation. Before you walk in, pause and whisper, “God, go with me.” Then notice how He moves.
