Day 4: The Christmas Story

Jesus Our Gift

Scripture:

“So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.” – John 1:14 (NLT)

Devotional:
The promise that began in the garden and echoed through prophets and priests was unwrapped in Bethlehem. Heaven touched earth in the cry of a baby, and God’s glory showed up in the most unexpected way — wrapped in cloth, lying in a manger.

Jesus didn’t come wrapped in gold, but in humility. He didn’t arrive in a palace, but among the poor. Every part of His story whispers one truth: God gives Himself. Jesus isn’t just a gift from God — He is the gift of God.

This season, the greatest thing you can unwrap isn’t found under a tree; it’s found in a Savior who came to make you whole. His presence is the present that never fades.

Think About:

  • What does it mean to me personally that God chose to come close?

  • How can I “unwrap” the gift of Jesus more fully in my daily life?

Pray:
Jesus, You are the gift my heart truly needs. Help me slow down and see You clearly — not as a story from the past, but as the living hope of my present. Let gratitude be my response to Your grace.

💡 Live It Out — “Give What You’ve Got”
Be a reflection of the Gift today. Do one intentional act of kindness — a text of encouragement, a meal shared, a prayer offered — and let someone else feel God’s love through you.
