Day 15: 21 days of prayer and fasting
DAY 15: From Empty to Vessel
Scripture: "But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us." – 2 Corinthians 4:7
The Raw Truth: The emptying of the first two weeks had a purpose: to make room. You are not meant to stay hollow. You are a jar of clay—common, fragile, unimpressive. But inside that jar, God places treasure—His very presence, power, and love. Your weakness is the perfect container, because it ensures the glory goes to Him, not you. Today, shift your focus from what you've given up to what you're being filled with. The hunger created a vacuum; now let the Spirit flood in. You are transitioning from a consumer to a carrier.
Illustration: A simple, empty mason jar sits on a shelf. It's useful, but its purpose is unfulfilled. Then, it's filled with cool, clear water and placed on the table of a weary traveler. Suddenly, its emptiness was the prerequisite for its purpose: to hold and offer refreshment.
Challenge: Hold your hands out, cupped together like a vessel. Pray: "God, I am Your clay jar. I've been emptied. Now, fill me with Your treasure—Your love for the unlovable, Your peace for the anxious, Your hope for the despairing. Let my life offer Your refreshment to someone today." Be intentional about carrying that prayer throughout your day.
