DAY 8 – THOMAS: DOUBT IN THE ROOM

DAY 8 – THOMAS: DOUBT IN THE ROOM

Scripture: “My Lord and my God!” – John 20:28 (NLT)

Devotional:

Thomas missed the first appearance of the resurrected Jesus. And doubt filled the gap.

But he didn’t leave the community.

Doubt grows in isolation, but it dissolves in encounter.

Jesus didn’t shame him. He showed him the scars.

The very wounds Thomas questioned became the evidence that convinced him.

Sometimes God doesn’t remove your questions—He reveals Himself through them.

Takeaway: Doubt isn’t the enemy—distance is.

Think About:

• Have I allowed doubt to isolate me?

• What would it look like to stay in community while questioning?

Pray: Lord, meet me in my questions. Help my doubt become declaration.

Dig Deeper:

John 20:24–29 (NLT)

Jude 1:22 (NLT)

Psalm 34:18 (NLT)

💡 Live It Out — “Stay in the Room”

Show up consistently—even when your faith feels fragile.

Group Discussion:

• Why does isolation intensify doubt?

• How can we normalize honest faith struggles?

Comment: 🙏 if you’re staying connected.
